
Importing Excel Spreadsheets into Access Tables
Access will also import HTML tables, CSV files, and other Access database tables
Open an Access Database
Click File->Get External Data->Import
Find the Excel Spreadsheet you want to import. You will have to change the file type to .xls. Click Import
Select the worksheet in the Excel file you want to import. Click Next
Insure that the “First Row Contains Column Headings” checkbox is selected. Click Next
Select which table to place it in and click Next
Unless you want to change the field headings click Next
Select a primary key from the datasheet and click Next
Name your table and click Finish
