Excel 2003: Text to Columns
This Excel feature is used to split one column into two or more columns. In this instruction set a column with a full name will be split into two columns (First Name, Last Name)
Insert a blank column next to the column that will be split
Select the column that will be split. Click Data then Text to Columns
On the Text to Columns window, select Delimited and click Next
In the Delimiters section, select the delimiter (which character will seperate the data) and click Next
Click Next
Now the column data should be split. Please verify the data was correctly split
